                                                                     WAIVER OF LIABILITY & DAMAGE POLICY

The Club member whose name appears below agrees and accepts that the sport of sailing presents inherent risks of accident or personal injury.  The Club member(s) acting as captain(s) of the vessels in the International Sailing Club fleet agree to assume sole responsibility for the safe operation of the vessel.  The Club member also understands and accepts the personal risks and potential for injury while sailing on the waters of Malletts Bay/Lake Champlain.
Therefore, the Club member named below, hereby jointly and severally releases the International Sailing School & Club, it's owner, officers, employees and agents for liability or claims of any type resulting from any accident or occurrence while on the property of or during the use of the Club's vessels or of vessels leased or loaned to the Club.
In addition; the member named below further understands and agrees that all damages and losses to International Sailing School & Club equipment is their responsibility.  This financial liability shall never exceed $1000 as per insurance policy deductible.  The member hereby warrants that he/she has sufficient sailing knowledge & skills, as well as a complete understanding of the rules of the road and that he/she has sufficient experience in vessels of the type to be used and that he/she will not operate the vessel in a careless & negligent manner or permit anyone else on this vessel to do so.
